Engagement Photographer!

Love!  What other word could a person possible use to explain this couple?  These two are all smiles, giggles and cuddles. They inquired about wedding photos for summer of 2011 and sadly I was already book for their day.  I was flattered when I received another phone call from them asking for me to take their engagement shoot.  After meeting them I couldn't help but join in on their smiles and giggles...this couples love for each other is contagious... congrats to you two on your engagement!

Graduation Season!

Quill Lake School recently celebrated 2010 Grade 12 Graduation.  The day was bright and sunny!  These three absolutely shone through their photo sessions!  Congrats to all 3 of you!  May God Bless you in your  travels!

Lamothe Wedding

I got the chance to take a couple photographs of my cousin at his wedding just before the ceremonies.  He had his two brothers stand up for him so it was also a great chance for a family shoot!  These guys are like brothers to me!  Love you all lots and CONGRATS to you and Danielle, Joseph!

6 Months Old, Already!

My newest lil' niece came to Quill Lake for a visit. Before she left she came over for a brief session.  Happy 6 month, Scarlett!

These 3 girls are the definition of SWEETNESS!  All 3 of them "performed" for the camera like angels.  It  was a beautiful August summers day, the combination of the two made for gorgeous photos!

I have been hard at work this morning and wanted to share...this graduates outdoor shoot what rained out so rescheduled. Good thing the weather cooperated this time!

Little Baby!

This was the most active 2 week old I have ever seen! She was so sweet and she was on the move! Arms and legs just a going! Congrats to Lauren and Derek, she is one little sweety!

I was out at a graduation party this last weekend and I had a chance to shoot my cousin and his fiance. These two are so in LOVE and you can't help but be drawn to it. Although it was a quick off the cuff shoot we had fun! Thank you and congrats you two!

LIght my way...

Learning new lighting techniques and LOVING the results. But I am needing new models. My little models are getting sick of the camera in their face. I am looking for anyone who is willing to take directions. Just contact me if interested.

Busy life? ACCEPTED!

Well hello ALL!

Another GREAT day ahead of me! The clouds are rolling in but that can only mean more computer time for editing! Due to bad weather and a busy life I have been falling behind on work and my class assignments. Today is that day I get caught up! The kids are entertained by crafts sent by Nana Bush and I have coffee in my hand. Life is good! I will hopefully be posting grad shoots, class assignments and fix up this blog (accidently deleted some stuff).

Today my work is dedicated to moms! So all you moms raise your coffee mugs to LIFE! Even though, it is busy, embrace it, ENJOY!

Natural Reflector

Assignment #5

I guess good luck and weather is coming my way...I was behind in my assignments for this class because I was waiting for the SUN to SHINE... and yesterday evening and today it has! YAA! Also to add to my luck my son and nephew decided to play in the puddles that the rain brought us these last two weeks! ARGHH!!! But I got my camera and started shooting because this assignment is natural reflectors with backlight... what better to naturally reflect than a puddle!! I hope you enjoy!

I am LOVING this online class I am taking thelightworkshop.wordpress.com . It makes me come alive! I am taking chances in my photography that I was afraid to take before. If you are interested in photography and know how to shoot manually my TOP recommendation for this class!

As for the shoot...Tea Time! My daughter has been BEGGING me to spend time with her...so we had a 'lil girl time this afternoon. She had a tea party with her babies and I shot in FULL SUN! Win, win for both of us!

Dramatic lighting!!!

Here is my entry for my Dramatic lighting bonus assignment. Object: to get shadow on half the face with light in BOTH eyes!

WORKSHOP TIME!!

SO, I have signed up for a photography workshop, Finding the Light and I am LOVING it. Dramatic Light, the first and most scary assignment!! This was my take on it. My daughter, Anna says: "don't wanna do dat anymoe" but as a dedicated photographer...I ignore her comments and keep shooting! I am hoping over the next few weeks my excitement will roll off of me on to her! Cheers to you all and keep posted I will be shooting and sharing weekly!
